Power Engineering / English Version

Power Engineering

In the area of electric power engineering, we assist in both low and high voltage installations. Installation eligibility, without limitations, ensures our expertise and experience in the field.

We can provide assistance of inspections and status determination of electrical installations. We can also assist in the process of developing specification of requirements and proposals for action. Electrical safety inspections and construction inspections, according to AB/ABT, are other examples of commitments in our operating area.

A selection of our services

•Specification of requirements

•Systems and action programmes

•Documentation/basis for procurement Psp and Hsp

•Inspections and status determination

•Action proposal

•Production Calculations. From a finished record/framework document, we provide suggestions on facility design etc.

•Calculations

•Cable network design

•Drawing work and construction basis

Advanced Equipments

We have advanced software and measuring devices required to perform dimensionerande calculations and inspections/verifications of electric power plants.

  • Thermocamera Flir i5
  • Inspection instruments
  • Multimeters and clamp ammeters
  • Software Elvis for calculation of cable systems including settings for protections
  • Cad programme for the production of various types of drawings and schedules

Thermography

With advanced technology of a thermocamera, one can identify abnormal overheating of an electrical installation in a more time-efficient way. An elevated or uneven temperature in an electrical installation is an indicator that something is wrong. This may involve uneven/ dissymmetrical pressure, poor contact, worn contact units, harmonics, unbalance etc. By complementing experience and other kinds of measuring devices to thermocamera, the control of an electrical installation could increase and thus, avoid expensive stop in production and dangerous situations can be avoided.

The underlay of the inspection are graded in a three-point scale:

•Action is required immediately

•Action is planned for next ordinary maintenance stop

•Actions are recommended to avoid future problems
